A Perfect IDE

An IDE is a one of the best part for the developers. If you are not relax during writing code then you can’t write good code. An IDE can help you most in that case.  Here are some list of IDE’s which can help you.

  • NuSphere phpEda complete IDE for PHP developers.
  • PHP Designer 2008 - The best PHP Editor and PHP IDE for ALL your PHP and Web Development
  • Zend Studio - The Leading PHP IDE from the PHP Experts
  • Others: Intype, notepad++, adobe Dreamweaver etc.

A Good MVC Framework

Framework is a way to write good and organized code. Its follows a convention through out its coding arena. So every body should start working with framework. Here are some list of Framework which i think best for all.

A good Browser to Debug your code

Browser is one of the major part of web development. sometimes browser makes a developer life Hell and sometimes its gives a developer way of life. Developer is always thinking of browser compatibility. so from the very beginning of developer we should use some good browser. here is the list that i consider during development.

  • Mozilla Firefox – is the best and most helpful browser for the web developer. Its several extension saves you time during development. specially the following extension are most important:
    • Firebug – debugging and inspecting your XHTML, JavaScript and CSS based issues.
    • web developer
    • JS viewlist all the JavaScript and CSS files which loads for a particular page call
    • FirePHP – another debugging extension comes with various framework integration.
  • Internet Explorer > 5.0 -  are the jerk of web development. There are very few programmer in this work who loves this Browser. But as most of the people use this developer have to make their code compatible with this browser. As their are no additional extension for IE, some people bring out some debugging component like:
  • Safari for MACThis is specially developed for the MAC PC. its help us to make our application platform compatible.

    nice post brother!

zend studio is superb (not the one based on eclipse, the previous one) and i also netbeans 6.5. but it’s worth giving a shot to netbeans 7 (try milestone 1).

and jquery is just the defacto for developing web apps. life was never better without it.

i love codeigniter because of it’s simplicity. and zend is just too much powerful! you can try kohana which started as a fork of codeigniter and now running on it’s own track.

lastly - i believe xdebug worths to be added in the list :)

    keep up!

I will cover the xdebug in “PHP based debugging tools” in my next part of this tools.

    @komarbang
Eclipse PDT is also good. But i have very short experience with it, thats why i doesn’t list it here.

    overall thanks for your advice.

  5. Nice post….

NuSphere phpEd is excellent IDE but i still can’t remove the Dreamweaver from my mind because of my personal choice :)

Codeigniter is very simple and easy to use.so i like it. But @this moment i’m a great fan of zend framework. Its strong library makes life more easy.. :)

And about jquery ???? isn’t javascript means jquery??!!!!!!

  6. nice post brother,keep it up !!!

  7. Nice post. But what about eclipse?

    MVC.
If you have no experience with MVC frameworks start your work with CodeIgniter… It’s very simple and it has great full documentation. After this you can easily work with symfony and zend framework.

    Javascript.
jQuery is realy most popular javascript library. A lot of plugins and great official documentation.
But also try Prototype + Scriptaculous and extJS.
